William E. Mason
Managing Partner

Prior to co-founding Mason, Israel & Partners, Bill Mason held senior-level positions at two of the nation's leading executive search firms. He joined John Kurosky & Associates in 1987 as Executive Vice President and continued in that capacity until 1997, when he joined Battalia Winston International in the opening of their first West Coast office in Los Angeles. Following seven years as a Partner with Battalia Winston, Bill re-joined John Kurosky & Associates to direct the firm's activities in retained search.

Bill has managed multiple successful engagements at the CEO/COO and second-tier management levels in technology, manufacturing, distribution and financial and professional services.

A graduate of Marquette Unviersity with degrees in both International Economics and Political Science, Bill spent his early career as an executive with two regional commercial banking institutions in the Midwest. His subsequent management experience includes CEO positions with a leading foodservice and healthcare equipment manufacturer, the public holding company parent of Colorado's largest distributor of paint and building materials, and a Denver-based consulting/retained search practice.

A resident of Irvine, CA, Bill serves on various advisory boards of emerging companies and serves on the West Side Advisory Board of the Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital Foundation.

Dick Israel
Managing Partner

Dick brings an exemplary investment banking and corporate finance background to the firm. Since 1973, he has managed Dick Israel & Partners, a leading Los Angeles-based independent investment bank. Previously, Dick was a Senior Partner of Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. and a Senior Vice President and Director of Business Affairs of Rogers & Cowan.

In 1985, Dick founded and served as President of the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), a trade group for the venture capital industry. He has served as President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and helped to create its now annually-held Los Angeles Business Conference on Growth Strategies, M&A and Finance. Dick has keynoted and led capital investment workshops sponsored by the Asia Business Forum in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.

He holds BA, Political Science and MA, Sociology degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and is listed in current editions of Marquis' Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, and Who's Who in the West. He is a Founding Member of the UCLA Extension Dean's Advisory Board. With his wife, Dick resides in Beverly Hills.

Moira LaMountain
Vice President

Moira directs research and candidate development resources of Mason, Israel & Partners, and has worked with the firm's Principals for six years. Her ten-plus years of experience in executive search with several leading global search practices includes extensive experience directing successful search efforts in the manufacturing, distribution, multimedia, electronic commerce, technology, and professional and financial services arenas.

Prior to her work in executive search, Moira spent nine years as a Business Analyst with the consulting practice of A.T. Kearney, Inc. She also served as Marketing Coordinator, developing and executing A.T. Kearney's business development and client satisfaction initiatives.

A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BA degree in Communication Studies, Moira resides in Marina, CA. She is a founding member of HOPE (Helping Other People Eat) a 15-year-old grass roots organization assisting the poor and homeless members of the community. She is also a Board Member and Secretary of Friends of Choices, a 501(c)(3) organization tasked with support of people in recovery from chemical dependencies.
